The city makes a statement

The bSafal half-marathon was held in association with TOI and NGS on Jan 4, 2015 in Ahmedabad. The event on the first Sunday of the year saw an unprecedented response with more than 10,000 participants, of which close to 2500 people finished the 21 km run. 2015 also witnessed the introduction of the 10 km run apart from the 5 km fitness run. Prizes were given across different age categories viz. (10-17 years), (18-45 years), (46-59 years), and 60 years and above. The running enthusiasts not only ran for fitness but also to support the cause of zero tolerance towards corruption.


The enthusiastic response made it one of the most exciting athletic events of the calender year, with the next edition promising to be even more well attended.
